JOHN HARWOOD, MAGICAL ENTERTAINER

Performing before his classmates in kindergarten started John Harwood on a long path as a magical entertainer. The year was 1935 and the location Roosevelt Elementary School, Neenah, Wisconsin. His father, believing that every child should have a hobby, had returned from Chicago with a small magic effect, which John practiced and then presented for his classmates. New Addition To Magic Shows

On the afternoon of Saturday, January 10 we became the proud owners of the pictured but unnamed English Sheep Dog. His father was Sherlock Bones so we are considering Watson for a name. Also considering Winston or Stuffy. He is undergoing training for addition to the magic act and is a fast learner. We will keep you all posted on his progress and date for his initial performance.

More Pictures....Alabama 2008

The Pictures

These pics go with previous post.

Christmas at Wales West in Alabama

After a few medical problems we finally made it to the South and Campground in Silverhill, AL. This year they had more lights than ever and Grandma and I took the train ride along with 40 happy children and their parents on December 23rd. Train wound through campground with a 15 minute stop at Santa's workshop and a visit with Santa, gift of a wooden train engine and a huge table filled with items to decorate the engine. Back to the starting point (more lights) and hot chocolate and cookie. Pictures will give some idea of the event.
